Pouring & Homebrew Event

March 15, 2014 3-9pm

2013 Tasting Notes

The Seaside Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Oregon Brewers Guild will present “Pouring At The Coast,” a craft beer tasting and food pairing festival at the Seaside Convention Center. The event doubled last year and continues to grow. This year we have secured more real estate! Last year 60 brews from 27 Oregon Breweries graced our event. We have increased participation pledged for this year.

The Saturday tasting will have three entry packages. All include a souvenir glass. $10 will also include 4 tasting tokens plus glass. $20 will include 12 tokens plus glass and a group package for four at $50 will include 24 tokens plus 4 glasses. To accommodate non-beer drinkers a single station wine bar will offer at minimum a red and white wine. Water will also be available along with food prepared by our local vendors.

This year we are encouraging “Home Brewers” to come along and enter their brews in the Home Brew Competition sponsored by Hondo’s Brew & Cork.

Burnside Brewing Co.

Spring Rye Ale

ABV: 5.5% Burnside Spring Rye our Spring seasonal is brewed with 45% Roggenmalz (German Rye) and single hopped with Ultra Hops. The Rye adds nutty and spicy notes as well as provides an increased viscosity and mouth feel. A resurrected varietal as of the 2013 Willamette Valley harvest, Ultra features notes of lemon and tropical fruits which play nicely with the spicy Rye notes.

Coalition Brewing Co

Space Fruit Citrus Infused IPA

ABV-7.0% Space fruit is a West Coast IPA with a twist – A citrus twist to be exact.  Zest and juice of 5 different citrus fruits are used to create unique flavors and aromas that intermingle with the West Coast hop character.  An unadorned grain bill lets the citrus and hops shine is this bright and delicious Spring Seasonal.

Laurelwood Brewing Co.

Winter Pale Ale

ABV-5.8% This beer has a deep, rich color with background roast caramel notes atypically for Pale Ales, but the bright pine notes, juicy fruit aromas and relatively dry finish let you know that it is hopped like a pale. Designed to celebrate winter and warm your hearth.

Golden Valley Brewery

Bald Peak American IPA

ABV-7.2% Bald Peak India Pale Ale is Golden Valley Brewery’s hoppiest year-round offering.  Brewed using Northwest-grown Apollo, Columbus, and Cascade hops, this is a true Northwest style IPA.  Pungent, pine, and floral aromas lead to a lingering citrusy hop finish.  OG 1.065   IBUs 75

Lompoc Brewing

Kick Axe Pale Ale
